RedFlag Codebase Duplication Analysis Report

Executive Summary

This document provides a comprehensive analysis of duplicated functionality discovered throughout the RedFlag codebase. The duplication represents significant technical debt resulting from rapid architectural changes, with an estimated 30-40% code redundancy across critical systems.

Primary Impact Areas:

  • Download Handlers (3 backup versions + active)
  • Agent Build/Setup System (4 overlapping handlers)
  • Migration vs Build Detection (identical structs and logic)
  • Legacy Scanner Code (deprecated but still present)

1. Critical Duplication: Download Handlers

1.1 Files Affected
